In June Celeste became the third woman ever to be ordained in the 100-year history of the Xai-Xai Wesleyan district of Mozambique. What an honor! She has not only worked in her local church co-pastoring with her husband, but she has been traveling with the Mozambican Wesleyan Women, and helping with many compassionate ministries in her local community. This is in addition to tending her family’s garden and working 4 days a week to supplement her meager church income. We are so proud of her efforts and the concern she shows for others.
(In case you are wondering, it is not customary to smile for formal photos.)
